Launched in 1997, the 996 is the first of the later generation 911s with a water-cooled engine rather than the previously used air-cooled. The naturally aspirated 996 has had somewhat of an unloved past due to the financial constraints during development but is now finding its feet as a classic car and has seen a resurgence in recent years with fresh appreciation. This particular example is the rarer Targa which was only available on the face-lifted mk2 fitted with the 3.6 litre engine. We know this particular car well having sold it to the previous owner and maintained it since 2012. It has been fully prepared for sale by our award winning Porsche factory trained technicians to a very high level.
